10th Italian Workshop on Embedded Systems (IWES 2025)

At the 10th Italian Workshop on Embedded Systems (IWES 2025) in Modena, the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna of Pisa showcased its work for the NANCY project on KubeDeadline. This Kubernetes extension leverages Linux’s SCHED_DEADLINE scheduler to add real-time guarantees and temporal awareness, enhancing Kubernetes for latency-sensitive edge workloads and AI applications. KubeDeadline integrates with Kubernetes’ Dynamic Resource Allocation and supports the Ray framework for distributed AI, enabling reliable performance in dynamic environments.
